Thunder Battle the Rockets

The Thunder and Rockets meet on NBA TV at 8 pm ET in Oklahoma City. OKC went off last night in a 146-132 win over the Spurs as Jalen Williams dropped a career-high 41 points. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was his usual self as he dropped 31 points in the victory. The Thunder are 49-11 and hold the best record in the Western Conference.

For the Rockets, they are coming off a 113-103 loss to the Kings on Saturday. Alperun Sengun scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss while Jalen Green scored 24 points for Houston. The Rockets are 37-23 and hold the number five seed in the Western Conference. They are five games ahead of the Clippers (32-28) for No. 6. The top six teams make the playoffs while 7-10 must compete in the NBA Play-In Tournament.

Amen Thompson (shoulder), Dillon Brooks (knee), and Alperun Sengun (back) are listed as game-time decisions for tonight’s contest.

Warriors Face the Hornets

The Warriors are in Charlotte for a matchup with the Hornets at 7 pm ET in which they are heavily favored (-13.5). Golden State is looking to get back on track after suffering a 126-119 loss to the 76ers on Saturday night. Jimmy Butler missed that game with back spasms. Stephen Curry scored 29 points but it wasn’t enough in the loss.
