The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will take place from March 22 to May 25, 2025. A total of 74 matches will be played among ten teams, divided into two groups of five. Each team will play seven home and seven away games.
The tournament kicks off with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on March 22 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The reveal was accompanied by a touching video message from the franchise and a sincere commitment from captain Hardik Pandya to reclaim the team’s rich legacy following a disappointing 2024 season. Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, formerly known as L&T Switchgear, has taken over as the new sponsor, replacing Slice.

Virat Kohli was recently spotted in Dubai wearing what seems to be the team’s latest jersey. Currently in Dubai for the Champions Trophy, Kohli is rumored to have taken part in a photoshoot featuring the new RCB kit and therefore we can assume that this will be IPL 2025 jersey of RCB.
