Gwyneth Paltrow had a sweet reaction to seeing one of her iconic red carpet looks duplicated more than two decades later by fellow actress Millie Bobby Brown.
The Stranger Things star paid homage to Paltrow in a post on Instagram on Friday, Feb. 28. The three-part post included two photos showing Brown wearing a dress that looked identical to the one Paltrow wore while attending the New York City premiere for Shakespeare in Love back in 1998. The sleeveless sheer dress was made of a silvery blue material that featured delicate beading woven from the high neck all the way down the floor-length skirt.

Paltrow, now 52, carried a dark-colored wrap with her when she walked the red carpet in the dress a little more than 26 years ago. Brown, 21, gave a nod to that aspect of the ensemble as well by draping a satiny navy blue wrap over her lower arms.
Brown rocked her new blonde hair for the photos, though she wore her long hair in loose curls while Paltrow had opted for a straightened hairstyle at the 1998 film premiere. Brown tagged the Shallow Hal star in the caption for her post and included a photo of Paltrow attending the original premiere to remind fans of the look that she was copying.

The Goop founder was one of many people who left a glowing comment on Brown’s post. “You wore it best!?,” Paltrow wrote.
The comment drew a direct response from Brown, who tagged Paltrow’s official Instagram account again and wrote, “we both did!! so lucky to have worn it. Thank you ❤️.”
“You look amazing! ❤️,” one fan gushed as another agreed that the look was “Iconic!”
Brown delivers “serve after serve,” one Instagram user declared while another said she looked like “Cinderella?.”
“You are so beautiful?,” one fan wrote.
“Oh she’s fire ?,” another fan agreed.
