High Tech High, a network of charter schools across San Diego, has announced the appointment of Diana Cornejo-Sanchez as its new CEO.
Serving as High Tech High’s interim CEO since December, Cornejo-Sanchez took over for Kaleb Rashad, who founded and became creative director of the Center for Love & Justice at the HTH Graduate School.
Cornejo-Sanchez has served in a leadership capacity at the school since 2018. Her previous roles included director of the Teacher Center and director of Instructional Leadership and Development at HTH, in addition to 16 years of working in project-based learning alongside students and staff.
“After an extensive national search involving countless educators, Diana emerged as an extraordinary leader uniquely equipped to safeguard HTH’s design principles while guiding us into an exciting new chapter,” the school said in an announcement.
The school, celebrating the 25th anniversary of its first campus, serves approximately 6,350 students K-12 across its 16 charter schools.
