Should the Chiefs reunite with free agent DB Juan Thornhill?

According to a report on Monday by Mike Garofolo of NFL Network, the Cleveland Browns are set to release former Kansas City Chiefs safety Juan Thornhill.

Thornhill was selected by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft after an exceptional tenure as a lynchpin of the Virginia Cavaliers’ secondary, where he earned first-team All-ACC honors.

The former Cavalier spent three years with the Chiefs and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie team before winning Super Bowl titles during his time in Kansas City.

In 2023, Thornhill signed with the Browns in free agency but could not recreate the success he found early in his career with the Chiefs.

The #Browns are releasing veteran S Juan Thornhill, sources say. The team and Thornhill’s camp spoke in recent days and the decision was made to part ways now, giving Thornhill a few weeks before free agency to find his next home.
