FOX NFL Sunday is roasting Tom Brady ahead of the Scouting Combine.
On Monday, the Fox sports show posted a video of one of Tom Brady‘s NFL Scouting Combine results.
On Fox NFL Sunday‘s Instagram account, a video was posted comparing Brady’s 40-yard dash time to star wide receiver DK Metcalf’s.
Metcalf currently plays for the Seattle Seahawks and is extremely fast.
Brady wasn’t the quickest quarterback out there when he was entering the draft.
He entered the 2000 NFL Scouting Combine and ran a 5.28-second 40-yard dash.
Meanwhile, at the 2019 combine, Metcalf ran nearly a second quicker at 4.33 seconds.
The side-by-side video showed Metcalf completely dusting Brady in the sprint, and was set to music from the Mario Kart video game.
Brady was never satisfied with his 40-yard dash time though, and recently worked on trying to beat that time.
At over 40 years old, Brady got his running shoes on and proved he wasn’t as slow as he looked.
“This is not the true measure of a man, let me just that straight” Brady in a video he posted to YouTube.
“I will give you 100 percent chance of effort.”
Brady did end up besting his 40-yard dash time from 2000, coming in at 5.18 and 5.12 on two different stopwatches.
“24 years later, redemption is spelled T O M,” he wrote on X.
NFL prospects will soon start running their 40-yard dashes at the NFL Scouting combine.
The event is already underway, with players starting to arrive on Sunday.
On-field workouts begin on Wednesday, starting with special teams players.
