Shafaq News/ On Tuesday, Syria’stransitional President Ahmad Al-Sharaa reaffirmed that the country’s unity isnon-negotiable and that the state alone must control arms.
Speaking at the NationalDialogue Conference, attended by hundreds from diverse sectors of Syriansociety, Al-Sharaa noted that “Syria has endured economic and politicalsuffering under the rule of the Baath Party and the al-Assad family,” describingthe revolution as a turning point that “saved Syria from being lost.”
“We are not lamenting thepast, but we are a nation of action,” the transitional president told attendees,urging broad consensus on the country’s future. He emphasized that “Syria is ina phase of state reconstruction after widespread destruction,” stressing thatthe “country's unity cannot be compromised.”
