Celebrating Jobs’s 70th Birthday in 2025
Steven Paul Jobs, better known as Steve Jobs, was one of the technology pioneers that brought us Apple computers. Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 — making today, February 25, 2025, his 70th birthday. Jobs passed away in 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Current Apple CEO, Tim Cook, paid tribute to him on social media today posting:
Steve saw the world not just as it was, but as it could be. His vision continues to inspire us to push boundaries and create the future. Today, on his 70th birthday, we honor his legacy and his eduring impact.

We’ve felt Steve’s influence in most things that we do here at MacSources. Not only did we name our site after our love of Apple computers, but we also think about his drive and influence over Apple designs often. Personally, I refer to the Here’s to the crazy ones speech quite a bit. My favorite line is:
…the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.
I also wonder how things would be different if he were still living and celebrating his 70th birthday today. Would he still be actively working at Apple? Maybe just overseeing product design? No matter what he would have done, we can forever be grateful for what he did.
