After announcing their initial 2025 coaching staff a few weeks ago, the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ announced on Monday that they’ve made seven more additions.
To the offensive coaching staff, the Jaguars added:
Keli’i Kekuewa – assistant offensive line/run game specialist Trevor Mendelson – offensive assistant Fred Walker – offensive assistant
Kekuewa was the Seattle assistant offensive line coach from 2021-2023 and spent last season in that same role with Carolina.
On the Panthers coaching staff, Kekuewa often worked with the centers specifically. Carolina running back Chuba Hubbard would go on to rush for 1,195 yards behind the Panthers’ offensive line.
Walker, meanwhile, has spent the last three seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. From 2022-2023, he was an offensive assistant and then was promoted to the assistant quarterbacks coaching role in 2024.
Lastly, Mendelson was the co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Western Michigan. As noted on the Western Michigan team site, in Mendelson’s first season working with the offensive line, that unit helped produce a 1,000-yard rush and consensus Freshman All-American in Jalen Buckley.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Jaguars announced one new addition to that staff under defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile:
Bill Sheridan – Senior defensive assistant
Sheridan was a linebackers coach in the UFL for the last three seasons. Prior to that, he coached at the college level from 2018-2022, with stints at Boston College, Air Force, and Wisconsin, coaching either the defensive line or linebackers.
Sheridan has 13 years of NFL coaching experience as well, which includes being a defensive coordinator twice.
A few weeks back, the Jaguars had moved on from then-strength and conditioning coach Cedric Scott. They’ve now made three additions to that staff as well:
Eric Ciano – Director of strength and conditioning Paul Jackson – assistant strength and conditioning coach Lanier Coleman – assistant strength and conditioning coach
The Jaguars’ team site notes that Ciano had been the Buffalo Bills head strength and conditioning coach since 2010 and was the 2020 NFL strength and conditioning coach of the year.
