On Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs announced that star running back Isiah Pacheco had been named the most recent winner of the Ed Block Courage Award.
Named after the former head athletic trainer for the Baltimore Colts, the Ed Block Courage Award is given to a player from all 32 teams who exemplifies commitment to the principles of sportsmanship and courage.
Last year’s winner for the Chiefs was quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who routinely epitomizes the meaning of sportsmanship.
Pacheco, who quickly recovery from a devastating lower-body injury he sustained in Week 2 of the 2024 regular season, is one of the most beloved players in the league and personifies integrity in the game.
