Jesus Guerrero, a professional hairstylist who worked with several well-known celebrities over the course of his career, has died. He was 34.
Guerrero’s family confirmed the news of his passing in a statement posted on Instagram Stories on Sunday, Feb. 23.

“Our family would like to thank everyone for all the love and support during this hard time,” his family’s statement said. “Jesus was the brightest light, we have never doubted that he touched the hearts and lives of everyone he came across. We have fallen into tears repeatedly reminiscing and wondering what we could of done different to still have him with us.”
A GoFundMe page that listed Guerrero’s younger sister as its organizer explained that he died “very suddenly and unexpectedly,” though details regarding his specific cause and time of death were not provided.
Guerrero was represented by The Wall Group, according to the talent management company’s website. The organization listed Kylie Jenner, Jessica Alba, Shay Mitchell and Rosalía as a few of the celebrities on his regular client list. Guerrero also worked with Jennifer Lopez, Demi Moore and Katy Perry, among many others, according to recent posts on Instagram showcasing his work.
Parade reached out to The Wall Group and to representatives for Moore, Jenner, Lopez and Perry for comment.
Guerrero’s family announced his passing just a few days after the death of Graham Nation, another celebrity hairstylist who was represented by The Wall Group. Fellow celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton mourned the loss of the two “incredible artists” in a tribute posted on Instagram Stories on Sunday.
“Their talent, passion, and impact will never be forgotten,” Appleton wrote. “Honoring their legacy and sending love to their family and friends. Rest in peace. ?.”
Appleton followed his initial dual tribute with individualized Instagram Stories memorializing Guerrero and Nation. His first featured a recent photo of Guerrero and a text overlay that read, “Heartbroken to hear about the passing of @jesushair . His talent was undeniable, and his creativity was always ahead of its time. He had a way of making hair an art form, and his passion inspired so many. The industry has lost a true visionary, but his legacy will live on through his work and the people he touched. Rest in peace, Jesus.”
