Junior hurdler Jerome Campbell and senior distance runner Regina Mpigachai set track records for the University of Northern Colorado indoor team Friday at the University of Arkansas.
Already two of the best to ever run at UNC, Campbell and Mpigachai added to their resumes during the qualifying meet at the Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Campbell set a meet record and personal-best time of 7.55 seconds with a first-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles.
Campbell’s time ranks 24th in the world and fifth in the NCAA this season, according to the Track & Field Results Reporting System website tfrrs.org.
He lowered his own school record (7.58) from 2023 and qualified for the World Athletics Indoor Championships next month in China. He will run there for his native Jamaica.
