Any time we get the opportunity to dive into a full seven-round 2025 NFL mock draft for the Jacksonville Jaguars, especially at this stage of the pre-draft process, we have to do it.
Ryan Roberts of AtoZ Sports recently put together a full seven-round mock draft, making all 257 total selections for the 32 NFL teams.
So, who did the Jacksonville Jaguars end up selecting with their seven selections? Let’s dive in.
Jaguars pick at No. 5: Mason Graham, IDL, Michigan
The Jaguars defensive front ranked 32nd in ESPN’s pass rush win rate and 27th in run stop rate last season. We saw in Philadelphia’s win in the Super Bowl, just how valuable having a really good defensive front can be.
Graham totaled 34 pressures and five sacks in 2024. He was also PFF’s top graded run defender among defensive tackles and was second in run stop rate. A player of Graham’s caliber won’t only fill his own stat sheet, but he will create opportunities for others with the attention he draws.
Jaguars pick at No. 35: Marcus Mbow, OT, Purdue
Liam Coen has already mentioned that the Jaguars’ offensive line play has to improve. This can include finding a long-term answer at center, bolstering the guard group, and adding competition at tackle.
Playing right tackle last season, Mbow allowed 25 pressures and three sacks, according to Pro Football Focus. Out of all tackles, Mbow ranked 31st in run-blocking grade as well.
Pick 70: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State
The Jaguars have to find a starting boundary cornerback to line up opposite of Tyson Campbell.
Porter has just 694 career defensive snaps, 425 of which came this past season–so he’s a bit raw. However, Porter would allow only five completions on 17 targets and had excellent ball production given the lack of opportunities with three interceptions and two pass breakups.
Pick 88: Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon
Injuries were an obvious contributor, but the Jaguars had the largest discrepancy in receiving yards last season between their top pass-catcher and their next pass-catching option.
Of note with this pick, most of Johnson’s snaps have come from the slot, where Christian Kirk often lines up as well. Johnson has caught a whopping 81% of his 207 targets the last two years, totaling over 2,000 yards with 20 touchdowns.
Pick 106: Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee
This is just too deep of a running back class for the Jaguars not to add to this position group, especially with having 10 selections.
Sampson has 37 receptions over the last two seasons at just under 9.0 yards per catch. The pass-catching element at running back is important in Coen’s offense. As a ball carrier, Sampson averaged 5.9 yards per carry over three years.
Pick 125: Charles Grant, OT, William & Mary
As mentioned above, fully anticipate the offensive line being a priority for the Jaguars this offseason. Grant has given up only 18 pressures and three sacks the last two seasons combined, which spans nearly 700 pass-blocking snaps. He was also one of PFF’s highest-graded run-blockers in 2024.
Pick 143: Lathan Ransom, S, Ohio State
The Jaguars secondary was among the worst in football last season when it came to surrendering explosive passing plays. This included 22 plays of at least 30 yards and eight plays of 50 or more yards, according to ESPN.
Ransom played most of his snaps at free safety but moved around the secondary. He was one of PFF’s highest-graded run defenders at safety and had three interceptions and 10 pass breakups over his five college seasons.
Pick 184: Cam Jackson, IDL, Florida
All around, I anticipate this being a trenches heavy offseason for the Jaguars–both on the offensive and defensive lines. At 6-6 – 342 pounds, Jackson is a run defender first, plugging up the middle of the defensive front. For three seasons, he has routinely graded out very well against the run.
Pick 196: Hunter Wohler, S, Wisconsin
The Jaguars are double-dipping at safety here–and understandably so for the reasons mentioned already. Wohler has been a reliable tackler and has been a versatile presence on the back-end of the Wisconsin defense. He has nine pass breakups and two interceptions in two seasons.
Pick 223: Jalin Conyers, TE, Texas Tech
Tight end is a position where adding depth, at the bare minimum, is a must this offseason. A strong blocking presence is important as well with the role that the run game is going to play in Coen’s offense.
Conyers has played roughly 50% of his career snaps from the slot and has 97 receptions over the last three seasons at over 11.0 yards per catch with 10 touchdowns. For what it’s worth, he graded out really well as a run-blocker in 2024.
