CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- One person has lost their life and multiple others are hurt from a fire early Friday morning, according to the Mecklenburg EMS Agency (Medic).
The Charlotte Fire Department first reported the incident around 4:20 a.m. on Feb. 21, stating that a mobile home in the 3500 block of Scott Futrell Drive was on fire. This is parallel to Interstate 85 and near Billy Graham Parkway.
Medic says its crews attended to seven people. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, three declined a ride to the hospital and three were taken to the hospital: two with serious injuries and one with minor injuries. Police, fire and Medic are all still at the scene.
