Greeley cop log: Caller reports ex-girlfriend keeps letting dog out; teen moons caller walking into the mall

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports taken from the Greeley Police Department’s daily logs. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column because of space limitations.

Jan. 30

9:15 a.m.: A caller in the 1000 block of 3rd Street reported a small, white dog fell down the window well of a house. The dog was dirty, and the caller thought it may have been down there for a couple days.

    12:00 p.m.: A caller at a Greeley elementary school reported a third grader walked away from the school and wasn’t coming back. The school called back not long after saying the child returned.

    12:15 p.m.: A caller at the Greeley Mall reported a teenager mooned him as the teenager walked into a restaurant with a group of friends. The caller added the group had parked in a handicap spot before passing him.

    Jan. 31

    12:30 p.m.: A caller in the 3400 block of 6th Street Road said officers were at her house earlier when she wasn’t home. She wanted to know if they were still looking for her and why they took her dog.

    12:45 p.m.: A caller on 7th Street reported his ex-girlfriend keeps letting his dog out every time he leaves his house. He was upset because he kept having to pay fines every time animal control picked the dog up.

    1:30 p.m.: A caller in the 2900 block of 67th Avenue reported she ran into a tree in her car and the airbags didn’t deploy. She wasn’t injured in the crash.

    2:45 p.m.: A caller in the 2500 block of 1st Avenue reported that he received a ticket five months prior, but when he went to pay the ticket, they couldn’t find his name. He was wondering if he had a warrant.

    Feb. 1

    11:15 a.m.: A caller at 9th Avenue and 9th Street reported a group of children sitting on a truck and flipping people off.

    12:30 p.m.: Another caller at 9th Avenue and 9th Street reported a man dropped his pants and exposed himself to everyone.

    3:15 p.m.: A person at the Greeley Police Department wanted to know if it was legal to shoot a BB gun within city limits.

    6:45 p.m.: A caller at a laundromat in the 2300 block of Reservoir Road reported a man walked in with drugs in his hand and headed straight to the bathroom.

    Feb. 2

    2:00 a.m.: A caller in the 1700 block of 8th Avenue reported people in the alley making a racket going through trash.

    12:15 p.m.: A caller in the 1200 block of 9th Avenue reported she was attacked by a cat. She said she was petting a stray and it “got mad at her.”

    3:45 p.m.: A caller at a grocery store in the 4500 block of Centerplace Drive reported a man in a dumpster outside is scaring employees.

    5:30 p.m.: A caller at an apartment complex in the 1600 block of 9th Avenue reported a woman waiting in the hallway outside a unit. The caller said they’re not supposed to have people in the hallways.
