Twitter a annoncé ce lundi 11 janvier avoir « suspendu de façon permanente » 70 000 comptes affiliés à la mouvance pro-Trump QAnon depuis vendredi, pour les empêcher d'utiliser le réseau social à des fins violentes comme pour les émeutes à Washington la semaine dernière. La plateforme a entrepris une purge qui a commencé vendredi avec le blocage définitif du compte du président américain, accusé d'avoir encouragé ses partisans à perturber la certification de la victoire du démocrate Joe Biden par le Congrès.
