While temperatures dipped below the record for Wednesday, it's not the coldest temperature of the winter season.

Between Jan. 18 and Jan. 20, temperatures dipped to minus 10, minus 11 and minus 14 degrees in Denver -- which is still nowhere near the historically coldest temperature. NWS recorded the coldest temperature in Denver at minus 29 degrees in January 1875, but it will still be cold for the next few days.
