It’s time for Pakistan to attract many cricket fans as the Men in Green are not only playing in the ICC tournament but also set to host the Champions Trophy 2025. The last time Pakistan hosted an ICC event was way back in 1996, when they were co-hosts of the Wills World Cup. Now, after almost a 28-year break, they are once again hosting an ICC event. Speaking about Pakistan and the Champions Trophy, they have a mostly decent record. They were the champions of the 2017 Champions Trophy, but before that, they had a mixed record, sometimes their run ended in the semifinals or group stages, as they never really achieved consistent success since the tournament’s inception up until 2013.
But the big moment came, as mentioned, under Sarfaraz Ahmed when they won the 2017 Champions Trophy, with the icing on the cake being their 180-run victory over India, showcasing dominant performance. So, what does Pakistan’s record in the Champions Trophy look like? See in detail and also check who has performed well for the cornered Tigers in this prestigious tournament.
