TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- Several people were hurt in a crash in southeastern Travis County Monday afternoon, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
ATCEMS posted on X at 12:44 p.m. that there was a crash involving a vehicle rescue in the 5200 block of East State Highway 71 westbound. That's near Garfield, southeast of Austin.
ATCEMS said one person was trapped. There were a total of five patients; one was in critical condition and the other four had serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to the post.
All patients had been transported from the scene for medical treatment by 1:06 p.m., according to an update from ATCEMS.
ATCEMS, the Austin Fire Department, Travis County Fire Rescue and Star Flight responded to the scene of the crash, according to the post.
Drivers in the area should expect delays or find alternate routes if possible.
