And fans immediately knew who he meant despite there having been 894 hosts over the show’s five-decade history.

When John revealed the massive number of hosts, he added: “It amazes me that only two of them have committed murder.”

John, who is the former writer of the show, did not reveal who he was referring to, but fans were quick to clock who he was talking about.

Fans quickly figured out that the two former hosts John was referring to was O.J. Simpson and Robert Blake.

“The 2 are OJ Simpson & Robert Blake,” penned one viewer on X.

Another said: “There’s way more OJ and Robert Blake mentions tonight that I thought.”

“OJ Simpson and Robert Blake are the two murderers that hosted SNL btw,” penned a third.

While a fourth said: “Robert Blake and OJ Simpson are the murderers.”

And a fifth quizzed: “OJ and Robert Blake right?”

    THE TWO HOSTS RUMBLED

O.J. Simpson hosted the iconic sketch show on February 25, 1978.

Meanwhile Robert Blake hosted the show on November 13, 1982.

Last April, O.J. Simpson died at the age of 76 after a battle with cancer.

The former NFL star famously pleaded not guilty after a high-profile trial in court which was dubbed the ‘trial of the century’.

O.J.’s trial was over the stabbing and deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in 1994.

Meanwhile, Robert Blake was charged but also acquitted in the 2001 shooting death of his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley.

Found not guilty by a jury, he was later found liable in a civil wrongful death lawsuit and ordered to pay damages.

    JUSTIN BALDONI SWIPE

Elsewhere in the show, during the 50th anniversary special, Ryan Reynolds referenced his and wife Blake Lively’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

Blake filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin, before Christmas after a bitter feud began on set, with her accusing him of sexual harassment.

When asked how’s it going by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Ryan said: “Great,” before saying: “Why? What have you heard?”

Amy and Tina then responded with: “No, nothing,” before giving Ryan a thumbs up.

This comes as Justin asks for $400 million in damages after being dropped by his agency, WME, which also represents Blake and her husband.
