The Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIX result didn’t go their way last Sunday. The team lost its chance for a three-peat to the new champion Philadelphia Eagles, an emotional blow for fans and players alike.
Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu was visibly frustrated on the sidelines late in the game, expressing emotion about his desire to win. He addressed the vulnerable moment during his postgame conversation with reporters after Super Bowl LIX.
“I play with my emotions on my sleeve. I wasn’t able to be at the Super Bowl last year, and this is my first time actually playing,” said Omenihu. “So, not getting the outcome that I think the whole organization would want, I wear my emotions on my sleeve.”
Omenihu continued his passion against online critics and trolls with a message on social media.
“Here come the Twitter GMs making their stupid opinions,” posted Omenihu. “as if y’all really know football or watched tape, lol.”
