Is Packers’ Vice President of Player Personnel, Jon-Eric Sullivan, an emerging candidate for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ general manager opening?
As of now, he has not been one of the names reportedly connected to this job. However, on Thursday, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler posted on X that Sullivan is a name he’s heard as a “potential candidate” that could be “in the mix.”
At this time, no official interview or anything along those lines has been reported.
Before the Jaguars’ began their GM search, Sullivan was a name we discussed here at Jaguars Wire as a potential candidate. Out of all the GM interviews that have taken place this offseason, Sullivan was the only one to interview for all three of the other openings with New York, Las Vegas, and Tennessee.
Sullivan has been in the Packers’ organization since 2003 and his background is as a college scout. He’s held his current title with the Packers since 2022.
Green Bay’s philosophy throughout the years has been around drafting and developing, and that has served them well from a roster-building standpoint, particularly as they transitioned, under Sullivan and others, from the Aaron Rodgers-era to Jordan Love and a younger roster.
Below are the known GM interviewees for the Jaguars’ opening:
– Ian Cunningham, Bears assistant GM
– Chad Alexander, Chargers assistant GM
– Ethan Waugh, Jaguars assistant GM
– Trey Brown, Bengals senior personnel executive
– Brandon Brown, Giants assistant GM
– James Gladston, Rams Director of Scouting
– Josh Williams, 49ers Director of Scouting and Football Operations
– Terrance Gray, Bills Director of Player Personnel
– Jon Robinson, Former Titans General Manager
