Liverpool will play twice for the second Fantasy Premier League gameweek running after booking their place in the Carabao Cup final.
Courtesy of eliminating Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-final, the Reds will be one of two teams without a Premier League fixture in Gameweek 29, along with Newcastle United, as the two will contest a Wembley final instead.
With minimal wriggle room in the calendar, Liverpool’s meeting with Aston Villa (originally scheduled for March) has been moved forward; the Villans will also play twice in Gameweek 25.
Unsurprisingly, players from those teams feature prominently in our selections. Handily, plenty of FPL bosses should already be fully stocked up on Liverpool assets after their double in 24 and will potentially have one or two Villa stars in situ too.
This gameweek is also a good opportunity to use the new Assistant Manager chip on either Arne Slot or Unai Emery if you still have it in hand. As is the case with players they will get an extra match to deliver points this week.
Here are this week’s tips ahead of Friday’s 6.30pm deadline:
Gameweek 25 team
Kepa Arrizabalaga (Bournemouth) – £4.5m Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal) – £6.3m Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) – £6.4m Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace) – £4.8m Mo Salah (Liverpool) – £13.7m Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) – £5.6m Justin Kluivert (Bournemouth) – £5.9m Marcus Rashford (Aston Villa) – £6.6m Kai Havertz (Arsenal) – £7.8m Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) – £7.6m Alexander Isak (Newcastle) – £9.5mKepa Arrizabalaga (Bournemouth)
High-flying Bournemouth have one of the most favourable fixture runs in the Premier League with five of their next seven matches scoring a three on FPL’s fixture difficulty rating (and one of the others is against Spurs).
While there is justifiable hype about their attackers given recent high-scoring wins, there is value to be found in their backline too. Andoni Iraola’s side have kept four clean sheets in their last eight games which boosts Kepa Arrizabalaga’s appeal.

Defenders
Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)
Trent Alexander-Arnold featured for the final half an hour of Wednesday’s pulsating Merseyside derby after returning from a hamstring injury and adapted quickly to the pace of the game.
The right-back’s chances of featuring in both games this week have therefore increased. The 26-year-old is top for both chances created (45) and big chances created (13) among defenders this season.
Price: £7.4m Points: 108 Gameweek 25 fixture(s): Wolves (h), Aston Villa (a)
Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal)
A fixture against struggling Leicester City gives Arsenal the perfect opportunity to bounce back from their disappointing Carabao Cup exit to Newcastle.
The Foxes have scored just 11 league goals in 12 games at the King Power, while the Gunners have the second-best defensive record in away games in the Premier League.
Gabriel has gone 11 league games without a goal but it is not for the want of trying. His total of eight big chances is only bettered by Josko Gvardiol among defenders.

Daniel Munoz earned his joint-highest gameweek score of the season (11 points) in the previous round and has posted strong attacking numbers all season.
The wing-back ranks joint-top among defenders for shots on target (with 11) and is equal-fifth for chances created (30).
Palace have also been very solid lately, keeping four clean sheets in their last seven fixtures. The Eagles host Everton, the division’s lowest scorers away from home, on Saturday.
Price: £4.8m Points: 88 Gameweek 25 fixture: Everton (h)
Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool)
There are only three Liverpool players you could confidently predict will start every Premier League game from now until the end of the season, if fit and able: Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, and Mo Salah.
Those play-every-week types are invaluable commodities in FPL, especially when a double gameweek rolls around. Van Dijk was rested for the FA Cup debacle at Plymouth and look how that turned out.
Liverpool’s first fixture looks particularly good for Van Dijk’s prospects. Wolverhampton Wanderers have conceded 17 goals from set-pieces so far, comfortably the worst record in the division, while Van Dijk has had more headed goal attempts (14) than anyone else in Slot’s squad.

Justin Kluivert (Bournemouth)
Kluivert has been in supreme form for Bournemouth (Photo: Reuters)Despite earning only their second league win of the season against Ipswich Town in Gameweek 25, Southampton are still a team to target in FPL and it is no surprise that players from Bournemouth, their next opponents, are in demand; three of the seven most bought players this week belong to the Cherries.
They have some excellent attacking options to consider, including the shoot-on-sight supremo Antoine Semenyo and the out-of-position differential Dango Ouattara, who is currently playing as a No 9.
However, Justin Kluivert just edges it for us due to his status as first-choice penalty taker. Of the Dutchman’s 11 league goals this campaign, six have come from the spot.

Marcus Rashford (Aston Villa)
Sure, it’s a punt, but if you’re not going to roll the dice for a double gameweek you never will.
Marcus Rashford delivered a lively cameo off the bench on his Villa debut against Spurs in the FA Cup to play himself into contention for the Premier League.
If selected, Rashford faces an Ipswich defence that has conceded 23 goals in 11 away games, before taking on his old adversaries Liverpool.
Rashford is a low-ownership, high-upside pick; he is currently selected by just 2.6 per cent of managers.
Price: £6.6m Points: 54 Gameweek 25 fixture(s): Ipswich (h), Liverpool (h)
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
FPL managers who haven’t yet activated their Triple Captain chip this season may fancy doing so on Salah this week.
Salah has already scored 22 goals and registered 14 assists this season, averaging a phenomenal 10.91 points per game. He has only failed to provide an attacking return in four of his 24 outings.
The fixtures are promising. Only Leicester have conceded more away goals than Wolves this season, while Aston Villa are short on centre-backs and have kept just three clean sheets in the league all season.
Price: £13.7m Points: 238 Gameweek 25 fixture(s): Wolves (h), Aston Villa (a)
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa)
As frustrating as Morgan Rogers has been in FPL lately – he has delivered one-point scores in each of his last three appearances – he is the first Villa name on our teamsheet.
Doubts over Ollie Watkins‘ fitness, a centre-back shortage and uncertainty over how Villa’s numerous new signings will fit in make Rogers the standout pick.
Despite his dwindling league returns, Rogers has been exceptional in the cups, scoring a hat-trick against Celtic in Europe and providing a goal and an assist in the FA Cup victory over Spurs.

Forwards
Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace)
Crystal Palace are one of the form teams in the division with four wins in their last six games and Jean-Philippe Mateta has been integral to that excellent run.
Six of the Frenchman’s 10 league goals this season have come in the last six gameweeks, including two against Manchester United in his last outing.
Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood is the only player to have outscored Mateta in that period with seven.
Price: £7.3m Points: 103 Gameweek 25 fixture: Everton (h)
Alexander Isak (Newcastle)
A 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Arsenal in their last league game resulted in Manchester City slipping into the bottom half of the table for goals conceded. They have let in 35 in total, which is one more than Manchester United.
Plenty of FPL bosses booked in the Alexander Isak to Watkins transfer after Villa’s double was confirmed but it’s a needless move. Isak is the most in-form forward in the division and well capable of tormenting this City defence.
Price: £9.5m Points: 152 Gameweek 25 fixture: Man City (a)
