Maggie, known as ‘itsmaggieperkins’ on TikTok, shared how she pulled off the trick last Thanksgiving.
She bought an apple pie from Costco and “smooshed it up” to create something totally delicious.
In her TikTok video, Maggie films herself using a spatula to crush the pie.
She explains: “This is a pie from Costco, and my big secret is that at any family gathering where someone is expected to bring a dessert, I immediately volunteer.
“I bring my apple pie bake, which is just a scam. My apple pie is a scam.
“The next time you have to bring a dessert to any type of gathering, people will think you’re a domestic goddess or god—we’re not binary here—a domestic creature of loveliness.
“All you have to do is make this little baked dish where you take a Costco $12.99 apple pie (or any other pie), smoosh it up, and put a crumble on top.
