Jalen Hurts received the ultimate compliment from the ultimate quarterback on Sunday night, being named Tom Brady’s Player of the Game after his MVP performance in Super Bowl 59 for the Philadelphia Eagles.
But during Brady’s postgame interview with the former Alabama star on FOX, Hurts also received something else from the 7-time Super Bowl champion. He got very important words of advice about the special jersey that Hurts wore during the game. Brady warned Hurts “don’t let that jersey out of your sight!” because Brady spoke from experience.
After all, Brady did what Hurts did 7 times, so there were a lot of Brady Super Bowl jerseys to go around during his remarkable career, and apparently a few of them fell victim to people who wanted desperately to get their hands on them.
“I had a few stolen over the years. Keep track of that. It’s going to be memorable down the road,” Brady told Hurts, before congratulating Hurts on his stellar performance in leading the Eagles to their second Super Bowl title in 8 years.
