(KRON) -- The National Weather Service forecast for the greater San Francisco Bay Area for Monday calls for mostly clear and sunny skies, with some areas getting patchy fog and frost. Frost advisories and freeze warnings remain in effect through 9 a.m.
Warming centers are open across the Bay Area Monday morning for people who need shelter -- including the unhoused population.
After such a cold start to the day, temperatures this afternoon will rise into the 50s and low 60s, similar to Sunday afternoon's comfortable, sunny weather. There will be light winds throughout the day with yet another dry day Tuesday, before scattered showers arrive Wednesday, and then heavier rainfall on Thursday.

Overnight lows Monday will be in the high 30s to low 40s, with some interior parts of the region reaching the low to mid 30s. Officials recommend keeping sensitive plants and pets indoors to protect them from the cold.
