The Class 3A state-ranked No. 1 Cougars won their 17th consecutive game Friday night with a 3A Patriot League victory over the Eagles. Resurrection Christian is 7-0 in the league and 17-0 overall.
Roosevelt 60, Greeley Central 52
The Roughriders outscored Greeley Central 41-17 in the second and third quarters to win a 5A/4A Longs Peak League game. Roosevelt is 6-5 in the league and 10-8 overall. Greeley Central is 3-8 and 5-13.
Windsor Charter Academy 77, Platte Valley 53
The Firebirds flew out to a comfortable lead on Platte Valley, outscoring the Broncos 33-24 in the first half on the way to a 3A Patriot League win. The win was the third in a row for Windsor Charter, 6-1 in the league and 16-1 overall. Platte Valley is 2-5 in the league and 5-12 overall.
Strasburg 69, Highland 53
Strasburg outscored Highland 17-12 in the third quarter to pull away in a 3A Patriot League game between two state-ranked teams. Strasburg, ranked third in a Feb. 3 Class 3A poll, improved to 6-2 in the league and 14-2 overall. Fourth-ranked Highland is now 5-2 in the league and 14-2 overall.
Severance 62, Timnath 48
The Silver Knights outscored Timnath 22-9 in the second quarter to pull away in the teams’ 5A/4A Longs Peak League game. Severance is in first place in the league with a 10-1 record (13-5 overall).
Fossil Ridge 60, Windsor 46
Fossil Ridge won its fifth straight game, and remained in first place in the 6A/5A/4A Northern League with a win over the Wizards in Fort Collins. Fossil Ridge is 8-1 in the league and 13-7 overall. Windsor has a 6-2 league record and 14-5 overall.
Northridge 56, Wellington 31
The Grizzlies outscored Wellington 26-9 in the third quarter to cement its 5A/4A Longs Peak League win over the winless Eagles. Northridge is 2-10 in the league and 4-14 overall.
Dayspring Christian Academy 73, Gilpin County 27
The Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles scored a season-high 73 points in a 3A/2A/1A Mile High League win over winless Gilpin County, also the Eagles. Dayspring is 4-6 in the league and 6-11 overall. Gilpin County is 0-8 in the league and 0-15 overall.
Rocky Mountain 87, Greeley West 32
The Lobos moved to 6-2 in the 6A/5A/4A Northern League and 9-10 overall with their win over the Spartans (0-9, 1-18 overall).
Wray 61, Frontier Academy 47
Wray won its first 3A Patriot League game of the year with a win over Frontier Academy. Frontier is 1-6 in the league and 8-9 overall.
Peetz 57, Briggsdale 53
Peetz outscored Briggsdale 39-21 in the second half to remain undefeated in the 1A North Central League. Peetz is 3-0 in the league and 13-3 overall. Briggsdale is 0-3 and 4-10 overall.
Elizabeth 63, Weld Central 38
Elizabeth (7-10) won its third straight game in a non-league win over Weld Central (1-15 overall).
Girls basketball
Resurrection Christian 65, Liberty Common 11
The Class 3A state-ranked No. 3 Cougars outscored Liberty Common 28-1 in the first quarter of the teams’ 3A Patriot League game in Loveland. Resurrection Christian is 6-1 in the league and 16-1 overall after its fourth straight win. Senior Olivia Klein led all scorers with 28 points.
Windsor 50, Fossil Ridge 31
The state-ranked No. 5 Wizards outscored the SaberCats 33-9 in the second and third quarters of their 6A/5A/4A Northern League game. Windsor is 8-0 and in first place in the league. The Wizards are 15-4 overall.
Highland 53, Strasburg 38
The Huskies won their seventh straight game and improved to 7-0 in the 3A Patriot League with a win over Strasburg. Highland is 11-5 overall.
Northridge 74, Wellington 41
The Grizzlies evened their record to 6-6 in the 5A/4A Longs Peak League with a win over Wellington (0-9 in the league and 1-16 overall).
Roosevelt 72, Greeley Central 24
The Class 5A state-ranked No.6 Roughriders dominated Greeley Central to remain undefeated in the 5A/4A Longs Peak League game with their seventh straight win. Roosevelt is 9-0 in the league and 15-3 overall. Greeley Central is 4-7 in the league and 9-9 overall.
Platte Valley 66, Windsor Charter 40
The visiting Broncos outscored Windsor Charter 33-17 in the first half on the way to a 3A Patriot League win. Lauryn Uyemura scored 19 points for Platte Valley, 3-4 in the league and 11-6 overall. Mia Koffler added 12 points for Platte Valley and Bryla Bunting scored 11.
Timnath 53, Severance 39
The Cubs won their fifth straight game to improve to 10-1 in the 5A/4A Longs Peak League after a victory over Severance.
Rocky Mountain 71, Greeley West 14
The second-place Lobos won their third straight game with a 6A/5A/4A Northern League win over Greeley West.
Wray 70, Frontier Academy 40
The Eagles won for the third time in the league and overall with a 3A Patriot League victory over Frontier Academy. Wray is 3-6 in the league and 3-14 overall.
Weld Central 56, Elizabeth 42
Weld Central snapped an eight-game losing streak with a nonleague win over the Cardinals.
Gilpin County 48, Dayspring Christian 33
Gilpin County improved to 6-1 in the 3A/2A/1A Mile High League with a victory over Dayspring Christian Academy. Gilpin County is 11-4 in the league. Dayspring is 5-4 in the league and 7-10 overall.

CHSAA 5A State Championships
The Greeley West 200-yard medley relay team of seniors Dani Douglass, Lexa Jackson and Mady Douglass and freshman Avery Moore finished 19th Friday at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton.
The Spartans came out of the consolation finals with a lowered time of 1-minute, 55.29 seconds. The team swam 1:55.67 in the preliminaries.
