Maybe ESPN shouldn’t have flexed this game out of the national TV lineup.
Devin Booker dropped a season-high 47 along with 11 assists, and Grayson Allen hit a number of clutch 3s after colliding with John Collins late in the fourth quarter to force overtime against the Utah Jazz Friday night at Footprint Center. The Suns went on to win, 135-127.
All of this came on the same night that Booker was honored for becoming the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.

Allen hit a 3 while falling away on the right wing off a sideline-out-of-bounds play with 0.9 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. The Suns had previously led 111-98 around the six minute mark of the fourth quarter before the Jazz stormed back with a 22-5 run capped off by a highly contested jumper by guard Isaiah Collier that appeared to be the dagger.
The Suns kept things rolling into overtime where they raced past the Jazz with an 8-0 run which was ignited by an Allen 3 — who finished with 21 points on seven made 3s.
Booker was serenaded with “MVP” chants as he sealed the game at the free-throw line.
Booker played a season-high 47 minutes with Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal out with injuries.
