Stockard Channing, who is known for playing Rizzo in the hit film Grease, attended an event to promote Elektra—the play she stars in with Brie Larson in the West End— and was hardly recognizable with her latest look.
In photos taken at The Duke Of York’s Theatre on Feb. 5, Channing rocked black leather pants, a unique blue pinstripe jacket with white buttons down the front and black boots.

Channing's hair was styled with slight waves as it sat at her shoulders, parted to the side. The hairstyle that Channing has worn lately is quite different from the voluminous, shorter look she is known for. She stood on the stage with the audience seated behind her in a new photo.

The 80-year-old stars in the production of Elektra as Clytemnestra, while Larson plays the titular character. The play is an adaptation of the original Greek tragedy Electra by Sophocles about a young woman named Electra trying to get revenge for the murder of her father, Agamemnon, by her mother, Clytemnestra.
The play's premiere came not long before Channing turns 81, with her birthday on Feb. 13. She touched on her experience getting older in a new interview with The Times, saying, "I think memory is very, very tricky."
"I consciously try to be in the moment, because there’s a lot of things conspiring to take you away—friends of a similar age who are still enmeshed in the past," she went on.
Along with Channing and Larson, Elektra also stars Marième Diouf, Greg Hicks, Patrick Vaill and more. Performances started on Jan. 24 and are set to continue through April 12.
