Donald Trump makes decision over attending Super Bowl after Fox announces broadcasting change for President interview

PRESIDENT Donald Trump has revealed whether he will attend the upcoming Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 9, 2025.

Donald Trump‘s decision concerning his potential attendance at the Kansas City Chiefs–Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl 59 showdown comes after it was announced the 47th president of the US will be part of an interview on the same day.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Trump plans to appear at Sunday’s Super Bowl at Caesars Superdome.

The 78-year-old will make history as he’s become the first sitting commander-in-chief to attend the big game.

The news was first reported by Punchbowl News.

Trump’s attendance will lead to increased security, as the game will be taking place more than a month after an ISIS-inspired terrorist killed 14 people after he drove a truck through the New Year’s Eve crowds on Bourbon Street.

The latest report on Trump comes after it was announced on Monday that he will be part of Fox’s coverage of the Super Bowl.

Trump will be speaking with Fox News host and top political anchor Bret Baier in a pre-taped interview at one of his residences, Mar-A-Logo in Palm Beach.

The interview will air on Fox News at 3:00 pm Eastern ahead of the network’s coverage of the Super Bowl.

It will be Trump’s first sit-down with a news anchor on a major network since becoming the 47th President of the United States last month.

In recent years, the network broadcasting the Super Bowl has given an interview to a sitting president.

President Joe Biden did skip the pregame conversation the last two years of his term.

Trump also declined an interview with NBC in 2018.

The polarizing figure won’t be the only massive name at Sunday’s much-anticipated contest.

Taylor Swift, who is dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce, is expected to attend the game.

It’s not clear which team Trump will support in Super Bowl.

However, he did acknowledge the Chiefs’ success on Truth Social after Patrick Mahomes‘ squad defeated the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game late last month.

“What a GREAT Team, Coach, Quarterback, and virtually everything else, including those fantastic FANS, that voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers.”

Trump also sent a message to the Bills for their season despite the brutal 31-28 loss.

“Likewise, congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on a tremendous season,” he wrote.

“They will do a lot of winning long into the future!!!”

The Chiefs will look to achieve an NFL‘s first-ever three-peat.

The game will be a rematch of Super Bowl 57 when Kansas City beat Philly 38-35 – the first of their current big game-winning run.
