The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office on Monday said a man was arrested after an investigation into a teen's fatal overdose.

An 18-year-old died of an overdose in the early morning of Jan. 30, the sheriff's office said. Tuolumne Narcotic Team agents began investigating his death that same morning.

The sheriff's office said over 1,500 counterfeit, blue 30mg Oxycontin pills, also known as M30 pills, were seized, and they found evidence of drug sales during their investigation.

Investigators suspect the pills contain fentanyl.

The sheriff's office said their investigation also led them to 20-year-old Corey David Craddock. He was arrested in the Sonora area on Jan. 30.

The sheriff's office said Craddock is suspected of distributing counterfeit pills in the county, selling marijuana and electronic cigarettes. He was booked at the Dambachar Detention Center on charges in connection to drug sales.

He could face a 5-year sentencing enhancement because the seized pills weighed about 276 grams.
