Diet Cherry Coke, which was first introduced in 1985, is reportedly returning to store shelves this summer–but that's not all.
The cherry-flavored drink is also getting a redesign, with both the cans and bottles said to be drawing inspiration from its original '80s packaging, according to the influencer.

While many of the details related to the comeback of Diet Cherry Coke are unknown at the moment, SodaSeekers has it on good word that the variety is expected sometime this July at Kroger family stores across the country.
The blogger anticipates the re-release will be made available in individual 20-ounce bottles and 12-packs of 12-ounce cans in the U.S. as well as 24-packs for Costco Club members, but only those who live in Canada. Sporked also suggested the revival may only be for a limited time or while supplies last, but that could change.
Though there hasn't been any official announcement from the soft drink company, it only recently revealed that it was reviving a variety that first debuted in 1905, so the company is clearly open to re-launching flavors. And with the amount of excitement shared amongst fans in the leaked preview–with many begging for this to be a permanent addition to the Diet Coke lineup–hopefully, it's only a matter of time before someone spots the old-school branding at their local grocery store.
