A PHILADELPHIA Eagles cheerleader has sent a strong message ahead of the team’s Super Bowl showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 on February 9.
The big-game matchup will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, and the Eagles are slight underdogs.
But don’t tell that to Eagles cheerleading captain Alexa Monteleone, who’s ready to perform for the NFC Champion team.
“The hunt continues,” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post after the NFC Championship win over the Washington Commanders.
featured numerous pics of Monteleone celebrating during the festivities at Lincoln Financial Field.
She also posted a clip of herself blowing confetti to the camera and hugging her mother, Maureen.
Monteleone has eight thousand Instagram followers and counting.
A Temple product, she has been an Eagles cheerleader for three seasons.
Monteleone is also an associate director of social media at Publicis Health, a healthcare network.
She will be performing at the Super Bowl once again.
It was her first year as an Eagles cheerleader when the team lost to the Chiefs 38-35 in the 2022-23 Super Bowl.
Fast forward to this season and Monteleone and the rest of the Eagles will look to gain revenge on the Chiefs, who are looking to achieve the league’s first-ever three-peat.
Kansas City is coming off a 31-28 AFC Championship win over the Buffalo Bills.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be important for the Kelce family.
Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce‘s brother, Jason, played for the Eagles, winning a Super Bowl in 2017-18.
And the 35-year-old’s sister-in-law, Kylie, also grew up a huge Eagles fan.
This week, Jason, who was on the Eagles team that lost to Travis’ squad in the Super Bowl two years ago, admitted that he’ll be rooting for both teams.
“I’m rooting for Philadelphia and I’m rooting for Travis Kelce. That’s the reality of it,” the current ESPN analyst who retired from the NFL last March.
Philadelphia and Kansas City are set to kick off at 6:30 pm Eastern on Sunday, February 9.
The game will be broadcast by Fox as Kevin Burkhardt and NFL icon Tom Brady will be on the call.
