DISNEY World fans are mourning the loss of a beloved restaurant as the chain is set to “permanently close”.
Closing restaurant PizzeRizzo is located just across from a cherished Disney World attraction that will also be closing, Muppet Vision 3D.
According to Walt Disney World’s restaurant booking page, the “last day to enjoy PizzeRizzo” will be June 7, 2025.
It adds: “The location will permanently close on June 8, 2025, to make way for the new Monsters, Inc.-themed land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.”
The Disney World restaurant’s menu has both lunch and dinner options, offering four different types of pizza, two salads, two subs and a large kids menu.
According to reports, all of the operating businesses within the Muppets Courtyard of the complex will be shutting down, presumable due to the new Monsters Inc. land.
These include the beloved Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano and It’s a Wonderful Shop.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will sadly be the first to close in a few months time on May 10.
But the Muppets won’t vanish completely from Disney’s Hollywood Studios altogether as they will reportedly take over the former Aerosmith Rock n Roller Coaster with their first featured ride.
Animal Kingdom’s Restaurantosaurus and Dino-Bite Snacks will also be closing.
And Trilo-Bites, which serves happy customers the famous Dole Whip or buffalo-chicken loaded chips, is also set to close.
CHANGING THE MAP
Disney first announced its proposed plans for a park change in 2023 and filed its first construction permits in October, The U.S. Sun previously reported.

Large construction walls have been erected around the former DinoLand USA area, blocking it off from guests as work begins, WESH reported.
The Animal Kingdom guidemap has been updated, debuting the changes at Walt Disney World, according to photos obtained by Disney parks news site WDW News Today.
The new map design features a blue-to-green gradient border, centered around a tiger, with the Disney’s Animal Kingdom wordmark in the top left corner.
Inside the map’s first fold, various sections are highlighted under the heading “Alive with Magic,” promoting key park features.
To the right, there’s an advertisement for the My Disney Experience app, showcasing its offerings and benefits.
The map also reveals that DinoLand USA has been updated to remove Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama.
