AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A person died Thursday morning after they were hit by a vehicle in northwest Austin.
Austin-Travis County EMS and the Austin Police Department responded to an "auto vs pedestrian" crash at the intersection of Jollyville Road and Thunder Creek Road shortly after 6 a.m., according to posts on X from both agencies.
ATCEMS said medics attempted resuscitative efforts, but the person was pronounced dead on the scene. ATCEMS said the person was an adult, but no other details were provided.
APD said the intersection will be closed while the scene is investigated. Drivers should expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
