Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2025 LIVE: Tee times, field, celebrities and leaderboard as Scheffler returns alongside McIlroy

The 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will signal the true start to the new golf season as the best in the game battle it out in California.

Wyndham Clark won this popular tournament last year, shooting a new course record at Pebble Beach before bad weather cut it short.

Other previous champions include Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickleson, Justin Rose and Dustin Johnson and a star-studded field will assemble for the Signature Event this week.

Rory McIlroy will be in action alongside several of the world’s top 20 players as the new PGA Tour season ramps up ahead of the upcoming Players Championship and Masters Tournament.

The Pebble Beach Pro-Am is a unique event which sees golf’s top names paired with famous faces from outside the sport.

The amateurs will compete over the opening two days before the pros take centre-stage at the weekend in pursuit of the $20million prize pot.

Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Date and how to follow

Play will begin at 4:35pm UK time each day.

    Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2024: Format

Last year saw a tweak to the tournament’s format with Monterey Peninsula Country Club dropped as one of the host courses.

Now, two courses are used – Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course – with the amateurs playing Thursday and Friday and the weekend’s final two rounds played by professionals only.

This is because the event is now one of the PGA Tour’s lucrative Signature Events.

The field will include 80 professionals and amateurs who will play in pairs.

Each pair will play a round at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill on Thursday and Friday before the weekend’s action is held at Pebble Beach only.

There will be no cut in this event while the winning pro will receive 700 FedExCup points and the top prize of $3.6million.

Pebble Beach Pro-Am: What has been said?

Scheffler is in a ‘good spot’ ahead of his return from the freak hand injury that delayed the start of his 2025 campaign.

The world number one was making ravioli on Christmas Day when the wine glass he was using to shape the pasta shattered and cut his hand, with the injury requiring surgery.

He subsequently missed The Sentry and The American Express, but insists he is fully fit for his return in California.

“It’s one of those deals where immediately after it happened I was mad at myself because I was like, ‘Gosh, that’s so stupid’. But you just don’t think about it when you’re in the moment,” Scheffler said.

“It really wasn’t like terrible, but I knew I messed something up just because the way my hand wasn’t really moving much and if I did, it hurt pretty bad. So I knew something was up.”

On his recovery, Scheffler added: “Everything had healed properly and I was in a good spot and got some freedom from the doctor.

“(My) season debut, it is a little weird making it this late in the year, but it is good to be back, feeling well rested.”

Scheffler won seven PGA Tour titles last year, including a second Masters title.
