DENVER (KDVR) — A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day has been issued as light snow returns on Thursday morning despite overall warmer temperatures for the Denver weather forecast.

It's a tricky forecast and there will be a sharp cutoff between areas that see a few inches of snow and those that see nothing.     Weather tonight: Snow returning for some

    The night starts quiet but snow will return after midnight Thursday across portions of southern and eastern Colorado.

    Not too cold overnight Wednesday as snow returns for some.

    Low temperatures will only be in the 20s so it won't be too cold, but cold enough to allow for snow to fall and accumulate.

    Temperatures Thursday afternoon are still expected to reach the lower and middle 40s. This will help to melt some of the snow that fell just hours earlier. Skies will be partly sunny but winds will be breezy from the north around 15-25 miles per hour.

    Temperatures jump into the middle 50s on Friday underneath mostly sunny skies. Temperatures this weekend will try to make it into the lower 60s, although Saturday will be mostly cloudy. Expect breezy conditions through the weekend.

    Next week will continue to be sunny and dry with temperatures staying well above average in the 50s.
