Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for Hamilton, Burlington and the Niagara Region.
The areas could see five to ten centimetres of snow Tuesday afternoon into the night.
“Snow will quickly move into the area from the northwest late this afternoon or early this evening, then continue tonight,” said the weather agency.
“Snow will taper off Wednesday morning.”
Environment Canada said in its advisory, drivers “should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.”
It also warned the snow could have a “significant impact” on traffic and cause delays.
“If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance,” read the advisory.
