College Basketball AP Top 25: Auburn retains top spot, Vandy cracks poll to give SEC 10 ranked teams

Three SEC teams held their spots in the new AP top five on Monday while Tennessee slipped 2 spots to No. 8 and Kentucky dropped out of the top 10. Following its weekend win over the Wildcats at home, Vanderbilt moved into the AP poll to give the SEC 10 ranked teams entering Week 13.

The top 5 in the poll remained unchanged, with Auburn retaining the No. 1 spot and all 62 first-place votes. Overall, the SEC took 4 of the top 10 spots and 10 of the top 25 spots in the new poll. The next closest conference was the Big Ten, with 5 ranked teams.
