Longmont 68, Greeley Central 31, in Longmont: The Wildcats dropped their fourth straight contest, this one to the Trojans. After keeping it close in the first half, Greeley Central was outscored by 20 points in the third quarter to fall to 4-10 on the season.
Wheat Ridge 76, Greeley West 22, in Wheat Ridge: The Spartans’ losing streak stretched to double digits with the 50-plus point loss to the Farmers. The loss drops Greeley West to 1-14 on the year.
Denver Christian 70, Dayspring Christian 45, in Denver: The Eagles fell behind early and were never able to recover in the loss at Denver Christian. Dayspring Christian fell behind by 15 in the first quarter on the way to dropping to 4-8 on the season.
Peak to Peak 51, Eaton 39: Sophomore Noah Sprinkle was the only Eaton player to eclipse double digits, scoring 13 points in the Reds’ loss. The loss marks the fourth straight for this Reds team, moving them to 5-8 on the season.

Greeley West 52, Wheat Ridge 9, in Wheat Ridge: The Spartans snapped a nine-game losing streak in dominant fashion, beating the Farmers by more than 40 points. Greeley West (3-12) held Wheat Ridge scoreless in both the first and third quarters.
Roosevelt 61, Glenwood Springs 14: The Roughriders scored early and often on their way to an easy win over the weekend. Roosevelt (12-3) outscored Glenwood Springs 20-0 in the first quarter and never looked back.
Longmont 51, Greeley Central 43, in Longmont: Greeley Central recovered from a slow start, but it wasn’t quite enough in the eight-point loss. Senior Madison Cepeda paced the Wildcats (8-6) with 16 points and added a team-high three assists.

Valley wins Patriot League Tournament, in Kersey: The Valley Vikings led a herd of Weld County schools, winning the Patriot League Tournament with 207 points. Xavier Garcia (106), Jacen Weese (120), Garrett McGirl (150) and Nehemiah Whaley (157) all took home gold for the Vikings. Weese pinned his final opponent in 1:58. Highland took home second with 193 team points, paced by five second-place finishes. Korbin Hoke (120), Carter Jensen (126), Tyler Varra (138), Wyatt Chase (175) and Ira Sittner (190) all took home silver for the Huskies. Eaton took home fourth place with 166.5 team points. Blake Hawkins (113) and Cal Sidwell (190) both took home gold for the Reds, and three more Eaton wrestlers finished second. University placed sixth with 122.5 team points. Connor Simonds (285) won his bracket, and Ayden Arellano (120) and Allen Mix (165) both brought home silver. Platte Valley and Resurrection Christian tied for seventh place, each scoring 97.5 team points. For the Broncos, Logan Vannest (132) won his bracket, Andrew Cockroft (106) finished second and Treyton Kneebone (215) finished third. Isaiah Johnson (215) won his bracket for the Cougars, and Joe Loecke (144) and Carter Gillespie (150) and Decker Nicholson (175) all finished third. Weld Central rounded out the Weld County schools, finishing ninth with 77.5 points. William Ellerman (157) was the Rebels’ top finisher, bringing home third place.
Windsor wins Northern League Tournament, Greeley West seventh, in Greeley: The Wizards were the class of the Northern League Tournament, winning handily with 200.5 points — more than 26 points ahead of second place. Greeley West brought up the rear finishing seventh, narrowly missing out on sixth place by four points. Owen Schaefer (106), Luke Stewart (113), Adrian Czyszczon (150), Robert Kendall (165), Santi Fernandez (175), Brayden Fernandez (190) and Evan Perez (215) all brought home gold for the Wizards. Schaefer, Stewart, Santi Fernandez and Perez all won their final matches via pinfall. Julian Chavez (126) was Greeley West’s top finisher, bringing home silver. Ben Feinberg (106) and Alfonso Aragon (120) both added third-place finishes.

Roosevelt had three individual winners. Thomas Dunn (165) an Michael Garcia (190) both pinned their final round opponent in less than a minute, while 138-pounder Malakii Martin won his final match by 4-1 decision. The Bluedevils had one second-place finisher in 106-pounder Isaiah Rodriguez, as well as three third-place finishers (Robert Ortiz, 126 pounds; Josiah Gonzales, 138; Christopher Galicia, 165; Donavon Buschman, 175).
Northridge finishes 18th at Duff Seaney Invite, in Canon City: The Grizzlies finished with 57.5 team points — good for 18th place — at the crowded Duff Seaney Invite. Leland Camacho (126) and Isaac Beardon (285) were the only two Grizzly wrestlers to place, both bringing home fifth-place hardware.
