Federal agents said they detained 50 people, many of them connected to the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, during an early-morning raid of a makeshift nightclub in Adams County.
Drug Enforcement Agency agents also seized drugs, cash and weapons, the federal agency said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday.
“The bus took away nearly 50 illegal aliens,” the Rocky Mountain division of the DEA said in a social media post in which they included a video of a bus pulling out onto a snowy road.
The DEA, along with other federal agencies and local authorities, conducted the operation “targeting drug trafficking and members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua,” the agency reported.
Denver7 reported that the television station’s cameras captured video about 5:45 a.m. near the 6600 block of Federal Boulevard in Adams County that showed agents rounding up people and escorting them onto a bus.
The DEA’s Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Pullen told the station that the agency was executing a federal search warrant at a vacant property where the group had been gathering to party for several months. The agency saw posts about the party on social media.
“This was invite-only — dozens connected to the Tren de Aragua gang were there,” the DEA posted.
The agency did not post further details.
