Before even setting off to a new White Lotus location in Thailand, HBO has confirmed that the Mike White drama will be back for another season, Variety reports.
HBO and Max chief Casey Bloys implied last November that, with respect to a renewal, the ball was essentially in White's court. “Mike, obviously—if he wants to move forward and do the four seasons—he will do the fourth season,” Bloys said (via Variety).

The show, initially intended to be a limited series, premiered in July 2021 and was such an immediate hit that it got picked up for a second season, making it an anthology series. Each season focuses on a resort in a different location: Season 1 was set in Hawaii, Season 2 was set in Italy and Season 3, which premieres Feb. 16, will be set in Thailand.
There isn't much else disclosed about the fourth season at the moment, but here is everything we do know so far.

The White Lotus is a black comedy anthology show on HBO. Each season follows a group of resort guests staying at a White Lotus hotel, where one of the vacationers ultimately winds up dead. The show teases the death at the beginning of each season, but does not reveal which attendee "bites the bullet" until the last episode. The show often deals with themes of wealth, class and power, although each location of the show allows creator Mike White to dive into various other topics (like how Season 2 explores the patriarchy within an Italian American family).
The White Lotus been renewed for Season 4?
Yes, HBO has officially renewed the show for a fourth season ahead of the Season 3 debut.
The show is an anthology series, which means that, by and large, it has an entirely new cast each season. However, Seasons 2 and 3 have each seen returning cast members: Season 2 featured the return of Jennifer Coolidge as Tanya McQuoid and Jon Gries as her lover-turned-husband, Greg. Season 3 will see the return of Natasha Rothwell (also a Season 1 star) as Belinda Lindsey.
If the tradition of bringing back a character from Season 1 continues, there are several candidates who could return to the show for Season 4, including Connie Britton, Sydney Sweeney and Molly Shannon.

HBO has not yet confirmed how many episodes will make up the fourth season. However, Season 1 consisted of six episodes, Season 2 consisted of seven and Season 3 will consist of eight. So maybe the fourth season will have nine?

There's no release date at this time. There was just over a year between Seasons 1 and 2, and then more than two years between Seasons 2 and 3, largely due to the Hollywood strikes. With production on a fourth season "eyed for 2026," per Variety, fans should expect to wait until at least late next year for another season of The White Lotus.
