Vornado Air recalled thousands of its space heaters due to a serious safety issue that could lead to electric shock or fire.
On Jan. 16, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall affecting about 7,780 affected units that need to be replaced.

Vornado Air's VH2 Whole Room Heaters, sold exclusively on Amazon.com, have been recalled due to the issue where the "power cord can partially detach from the heater enclosure, which can lead to cord damage over time, posing electric shock and fire hazards."
The recalled units have a silver rating label on the bottom of the heater that includes a “JUL24” or “AUG24” date code as well as “TYPE VH2." Units with different date codes are not included in the recall.

No incidents or injuries as a result of the issue have been reported. People who own one of the affected heaters are instructed to contact Vornado Air to confirm and get instructions on how to receive a replacement unit.
Vornado's toll-free phone number is 844-205-7978, and people can call between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT, Monday to Friday. People can also email Vornado at [email protected], or fill out the form on Vornado's website.
Another recent recall due to a dangerous risk was for popular Temp-tations Oven Gloves sold on QVC, with over one million pairs recalled. The gloves reportedly don't provide enough heat protection, with reports of burn injuries from dozens of users.
Other recent recalls to be on the lookout for include chicken broth from Walmart and frozen Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos from Aldi.
