THE NFL’s viewership for the division round of the playoffs hit a four-year low, figures showed.
That was despite ESPN claiming their most watched NFL broadcast ever.
The biggest ratings let down of the weekend was the most anticipated game.
The Baltimore Ravens took on the Buffalo Bills in a meeting of MVP candidates Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.
CBS showed the game live at 6.30 pm ET Sunday night.
And the network averaged 42.4 million viewers for the AFC showdown.
That made it the most-watched game of the weekend.
But it was down 16 per cent on the same spot last year.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Buffalo Bills in the division round 12 months ago was watched by 50.4 million people.
ESPN kicked off this year’s division round with the Chiefs against the Houston Texans.
The game at Arrowhead Stadium was watched by 32.7 million people.
ESPN also claimed it was the highest rated 4.30 pm ET game on division Saturday across any network going back to 2016.
NBC, meanwhile, announced an average of 37.8 million people watched their playoff game.
The network broadcast the snow game between the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles at 3 pm ET Sunday.
And their audience is down on the 40.4 million who watched their division round game between the Buccaneers and Lions last year.
Fox showed the Detroit Lions take on the Washington Commanders Saturday night.
And they reported an audience of 33.6 million viewers for the prime time showdown.

That was down from the 37.5 million audience that watched the San Francisco 49ers against the Green Bay Packers on the network last year.
The NFL’s ratings are still far stronger than any other sports league in the US.
This Sunday’s conference championships and the Super Bowl in February are expected to draw huge audiences.
The NFC Championship Game between the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles kicks off at 3 pm ET this Sunday on Fox.
And that is followed by the AFC Championship Game with the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Buffalo Bills at 6.30 pm ET on CBS.
Super Bowl LIX will take place on Sunday 9 February in New Orleans, Louisiana and shown by Fox.
