The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is searching for information on a person who they say stole several firearms and ammunition from east of Eaton last month.
Deputies responded to the burglary in early December 2024. The thief may have sold one or more of the stolen items at the Baker Draw Designated Shooting Area — on Weld County Road 96 northwest of Briggsdale — between Dec. 8 and Dec. 20, according to an agency Facebook post.
The sheriff’s office asks anyone who may have purchased a firearm in that time frame at or near the Baker Draw Designated Shooting Area to contact Detective Travis Peck at 970-400-2822 or [email protected].
Anyone with any information regarding the crime can call the county’s tip line at 970-304-6464 or email [email protected].
Police say their priority in the case is to ensure the safety of the community and return the victim’s property.
