Sunday Brunch viewers tell guest ‘put some clothes on’ as they appear on TV in TINY outfit

SUNDAY Brunch viewers have told their guests to ‘put some clothes on’ as they appeared on TV in a tiny outfit.

The guest in question appeared on the show with a range of other guests, and donned an outfit that showed off his muscles.

But some fans weren’t so impressed with Harry Aikines-Aryeetey’s outfit.

Harry is a Gladiators star who goes by the name Nitro, and he was wearing his iconic costume for the Sunday Brunch show, alongside Fearne McCann, Su Pollard, Tori Amos and Marcus Brigstocke.

One person said of the look: “ Never quite understand why anyone from Gladiators has to appear on TV in their costume.”

Another said: “Ooh making me cold looking at Nitro put some clothes on you’ll catch your death.”

A third wrote: “Did Nitro from Gladiators need to be dressed in his show outfit on #SundayBrunch. Lad looks ridiculous, bless him. Stacked, of course, but ridiculous.”

Someone else echoed: “Eating in ya vest – how uncouth. #gladiators #sundaybrunch.”

And another said: “My only conclusion is that Gladiators are so big they can’t fit into everyday clothes, so can only wear spandex. Why else would you turn up like that to a food show?”

Social media was littered with comments about the look, after Nitro appeared on the show, but others were very fond of the outfit.

In another blow for the star, he was forced to withdraw from the Gladiators competition.

The super-fit former Team GB sprinter announced the sad news during this weekend’s episode.

Hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh announced that one of the Gladiators had sustained an injury during training and would be withdrawing – before introducing Nitro.

He said: “Obviously you know I’m explosive, I’m powerful.

“Sometimes I’m too powerful. And I ended up hurting myself. I’ve got a little bit of a dodgy knee.

“But these things happen in sport, you know, when you’re pushing yourself as hard as you do.

“The pecs aren’t going anywhere – they’re right here. They’re staying here.

“I need all those Nitro fans out there to give me some energy because I need to recharge.”

Meanwhile, at the end of last month, TV duo Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy have confirmed a major shake-up to Sunday Brunch.

The programme has been entertaining fans for a total of 13 years on Channel 4 after first launching in March 2012.

The popular duo began hosting the programme after their previous series on the BBC, Something for the Weekend, was axed.

But at the end of their final episode for 2024, the TV stars confirmed that things would be different for Sunday Brunch as it entered 2025.

From January, the programme has found itself in a brand new timeslot.

It kicks off 30 minutes later and airs between 10am and 1pm – It means that fans are still be able to get their full three-hour fix of the programme as usual.

When Sunday Brunch first launched in 2012, the programme was only two hours and aired between 9:30am and 11:30am.
