A clip of Scottie Scheffler is sure to send a shiver down the spines of every PGA Tour member.
The world No. 1 is yet to feature at an event this year following a freak accident suffered on Christmas Day.
Scheffler had to undergo surgery after he cut his right hand on broken glass while preparing Christmas Dinner and was expected to be ruled out for three to four weeks.
The injury forced him to miss the season opener at The Sentry in Hawaii, which was won by Japanese superstar Hideki Matsuyama.
Scheffler had been hopeful of returning at The American Express tournament in California, but it came too soon.
Sepp Straka took out the event as he pipped America’s Justin Thomas by two strokes.
However, it now appears Scheffler is inching close to a return.
Dr Troy Van Biezen, who has worked with athletes across a wide range of disciplines, shared a clip of Scheffler conducting a workout in a gym.
The golf superstar wore a brace on his right hand as he performed a resistance-based exercise by lifting a bar attached to an elastic rope over his head.
Dr Biezen captured the post: “Trust the process, celebrate the progress!”
With Scheffler taking a major stride towards his return to the fairways, the rest of the PGA Tour will be nervous given the American’s exploits in 2024.
Scheffler won an Olympic gold medal as well as seven PGA Tour titles on his way to being crowned the PGA Tour’s Player of the Year for a third-straight season.

However, 2024 was not all smooth sailing for Scheffler.
He was detained by police on his way to the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club last May after he allegedly disobeyed orders and assaulted an officer with his vehicle.
Remarkably, Scheffler returned to the course and played in the second round as some fans even produced shirts with the 28-year-old’s mugshot front and centre.
The charges against Scheffler were dropped two weeks after the ordeal as footage proved one of the officer’s claims to be exaggerated.
The next event on the PGA Tour calendar is the Farmers Insurance Open, which begins on January 22.
A win at The Masters was one of several triumphs on the course for Scheffler in 2024GettyIt may come too soon for Scheffler as he continues his recovery, but the world No. 1 will no doubt have his eyes on making a return at Pebble Beach.
The winner at Pebble Beach will take home a $3.6million (£2.95m) cheque as the event commences on January 30.
Scheffler, who finished tied for sixth at Pebble Beach last year, is yet to win the tournament.
