James said they had been living in a hotel for a week as the fires rage on.

At least 25 people have been killed and over 150,000 evacuated due to the blazes.

James’ Los Angeles Lakers had two games postponed last week.

They returned to court Wednesday against the Miami Heat.

And James revealed afterwards, “Personally, I’ve been off.

“My family, we’ve been evacuated since Thursday night, so I’ve been in a hotel since pretty much when we got back from Dallas.

    “So just figuring it out.

“But staying strong for one another, obviously that’s most important.

“I’m very happy that my family is safe, my wife, my three kids, my mom she’s been here.

“Everyone’s safe, but it’s just been off.”

James purchased the $23 mansion in the affluent area of Brentwood in 2017.

The neighborhood is to the north west of downtown Los Angeles and close to the Palisades fire.

But James added that his home has not been damaged.

Lakers coach JJ Redick returned from the road trip to Dallas last week to find his home had been destroyed.

“I’m not sure I’ve wept or wailed like that in several years,” Redick said.

“I was not prepared for what I saw.

“It’s complete devastation and destruction. I had to go a different way to the house, but I went through most of the village, and it’s all gone.

“I don’t think you can ever prepare yourself for something like that. Our home is gone.

“Everything that we owned that was of any importance to us in almost 20 years together as a couple and 10 years of parenting was in that house.

“There’s certain things that you can’t replace, that will never be replaced.

“The material stuff is whatever. My family and I were processing the self side, the individual side, of losing your home, and you don’t ever want to wish that on anybody.

“It’s an awful feeling to lose your home.”
