In the early hours of Saturday, Nov. 30 as Leah Neugebauer was closing Wyler’s Pub and Grill, a 32-year-old man fired 59 rounds into the Greeley pub. Neugebauer was critically injured.
The pub continues to help Neugebauer with her recovery, hosting a dart tournament fundraiser for her starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at the pub, 2385 W. 27th St. Unit 513, Greeley. There’s a $25 entry fee with a modified blind draw.
A GoFundMe that was established for Neugebauer has raised more than $500 past the $20,000 goal. To donate, go to gofund.me/550ba6e7.
Shortly after the shooting, police arrested Jimmy Cazares on suspicion of multiple felony charges. According to police reports, Cazares used an AR-15 with a high-capacity 60-round drum magazine. The report also stated that he had 11.2 grams of cocaine in his pocket along with the 60th round.
Cazares has a disposition hearing scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 in Weld District Court.
