Finally, weather conditions in San Diego County are expected to shift late this week as an upper low-pressure system moves in from the Pacific Thursday afternoon into early Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Despite calmer Santa Ana winds overnight, dry conditions will continue, leading to a chilly start on Thursday morning, the NWS said.
High temperatures Thursday are expected to reach 60 to 63 near the coast, 64 inland, 63 to 68 in the western valleys, 55 to 62 in the mountains and around 70 in the deserts.
By Thursday afternoon, the low-pressure system from the Pacific will bring noticeable changes including more clouds, with gusty west winds affecting mountain and desert areas.
Cooler marine air will push inland late Thursday, reintroducing marine layer low clouds, according to meteorologists.
Precipitation chances remain low, but a deepening marine layer might bring some drizzle overnight into Friday.
Though the change in weather may be brief, as forecasters predict offshore Santa Ana winds will return early next week, starting Sunday night and strengthening by Tuesday.
